Qing Dynasty, 1840-1880
This robust snuff bottle is rendered from a well-hollowed white jade pebble. A Prunus branch, symbolic of longevity, is depicted in low relief on the front and back sides. The bottle rests on a shallow raised foot ring. In our opinion, the subject matter, workmanship and material suggest a Qing Dynasty date for this handsome snuff bottle.
