Blue Glass with Coral Stopper
This diminutive octagonal blue glass snuff bottle shows faceted body panels. The opening of the bottle is wide with a short neck a characteristics of this period. The interior is well hollowed and the stopper is deep red coral. The blue color of the glass is intense and shows a fine translucency.
In our opinion the material, workmanship and subject matter suggest a YongZheng period (1721-1735) date for this fine snuff bottle.
