This elegant calligraphy brush is rendered over the entirety with low relief work depicting precious things such as a fan and floral basket. The brush is delicately balanced and a delight to hold suggesting it was possibly made for a Lady of Virtue of the Imperial Court. The subject matter, material and workmanship suggest a Qing period date for this elegant example of the Period.
