Celadon Green Nephrite Jade
An archaic bi disc rendered from translucent celadon green nephrite jade. This object shows a stylized dragon swirl motif, which evolved during the Eastern Han period, circa 200 AD. There is some russet brown coloration, and several edges are uneven from being ground down at some point during their passage through history. In our opinion, the subject matter, material and workmanship suggest a Han date for this bi disc.
