This remarkable gilt gold on bronze figure depicts the seated Buddha resting on a Lotus shaped base with hands held in praying position. The Buddha is surrounded by numerous Immortals. The piece is well cast and quite heavy for it’s size of 10.25 inches on the wooden stand. The overall condition is excellent with a majority of the gilding remaining. In our opinion the subject matter, workmanship and material suggest a Qing period date for this fine work of art.
